Preventing Hepatitis B

The best protection against Hepatitis B is vaccination. In the UK, the Hepatitis B vaccine is given to all babies as part of the routine 6-in-1 vaccination schedule.

Babies born to mothers with Hepatitis B receive additional vaccines at birth, 4 weeks, and 1 year.

Adults at higher risk of contracting Hepatitis B should ensure they’re vaccinated.
